Updates on Spring Street restaurant?

by Ellen P » Wed Dec 22, 2010 10:18 pm

Haven't read anything about it for a couple of months.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Irish Rover last night. One of our favorite winter spots.
Tonight, after window shopping and enjoying the sights and sounds of the season, stopped at El Mundo for margaritas and Dippity Do before heading home to watch UL on tv.
Tomorrow meeting friends at FABD to exchange Xmas presents!
Happy Holidays.

Besides the now hiring signs, it doesn't say when they are planning to open. They sure did a beautiful job with the exterior though! Hope it's got a more interesting menu then spring street. I hope it's a great addition to the neighborhood. I can't find any info though. Annemarie? Sick 'em girl. Gary's on spring.

I talked to the owner Guy Sutcliffe on Monday and he told me they hoped to open the second or third week of January. The interior is just as upscale as the exterior and it has a seconfd floor bar and outdoor dining both upstairs and downstairs. Chef Harold Baker is indeed heading the kitchen and veteran Greg Fearing will be taking care of the front of the house. I have gotten a chance to look over the menu and it is very intriquing.

Can't wait to the opening.

Can not wait to be of service to the guest, for that it has allways been my quest.

Thank you for the updates. Looking forward to this addition. Pre and post-downtown event meals. It's on the bike route. Cyclist dress too casual?
