How do you plumb a truck like a house? With a holding tank?

Thanks for posting this article up. I'm the guy from the vegan food truck :) I've been researching these food trucks for the last year so the plumbing issue isn't all that surprising. Every city requires 3 sinks if you're going to have a health permit. I know there are still some things that are going to blind side me in the next few months however, and I'm trying to get all of these issues sorted out before the Kickstarter campaign ends. Bobby what other issues have you ran into? Does anyone else have any advice to offer for a foodtruck/small restaurant begginer? Thanks!

I met with Stan and we kicked some ideas around. He is a great guy and he has an excellent concept together.

His kickstarter page has like 30% or more of the funding that he needs to get it going. Its working out pretty good for him. Hopefully he can get his truck up and running soon.

Yeah the health department requires that you have 3 sinks, a wash, rinse and sanitize and you have to have a separate hand sink with a splash guard. They require you have a standard RV style set up with an inline water heater and demand pump, a potable water tank and grey waste tank. The waste tank must be at least 15% larger than your potable water tank.

Bobby, I have some tricks that I can let you in on. Now they are making these sinks out of 1/3rd deep hotel pans. You can put 2 inch bar drains in them and there are tanks you can get that come with the pumps attached. I can put together a 4 sink, heated, with a demand pump for less than $500.

You can fit the 4 sinks by themselves with all the plumbing equipment in a store bought bathroom under sink vanity and it will take up only a small corner of the truck.

Otherwise I would be interested in seeing your truck and If interested I could make you an offer.
