DiFabio's Casapela

by David Sanders » Fri Dec 17, 2010 11:58 pm

Sarah and the rest of the crew at Difabio's Casapela have made this into a wonderful little restaurant. Five of us visited tonight and unfortunately four of us ordered the lasagna, so I cannot comment on a lot of different dishes. The antipasti stuffed mushrooms were wonderful, heat hot and filled with spinach, garlic, parmesan and Italian seasonings. The lasagna was excellent - all four orders. The chicken and Alfredo sauce was very good also. When you compare the prices here, considering that all entrees come with a house salad, what a bargain. Service, perfect and well paced. We enjoyed our holiday weekend dinner, can you ask for more? Well, carolers. Perfect! Note: I did use the Difabio's website menu to describe some of the items we had, I'm not good at describing items & ingredients, so I used their descriptions.

We like DiFabio's alot, too. The escargot is very good and reasonably priced.
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

If my position as a food critic didn't make it hard for me to go back to dinner places often, we'd eat there a lot. As the others have said, I like the food, the service and the setting. Nice place ... I'm glad they came to town.
