Is that the one where Barnes and Noble is?? It seems like there is nothing left but B&N there. You'd think they'd be happy having a tennant.

No, they were in the "Pretty Vacant" strip mall in the Shoppes of Plainview on the north side of 64 next to Harper's-Amerigo-Brick House. They must have a big lease taking over that spot because there is currently nothing in there besides Barnes & Nobles. Comp USA left a lot of empty square footage when they went out of business a couple of years back and Graeter's was the only other thing left in there. They are moving to a J-town location but I'm not sure where yet.

The Hallmark store in the next plaza north is also going to move so I originally sought maybe they were going to move into this plaza because of all the parking problems where they are. With this happening I'm sure that's not the case either. Even if you do not include the Comp USA space it is quite a large area with it its huge! It will be interesting to see who is going to take that much space, I certainly wouldn't expect it to be another restaurant but who knows?

My sister lives in Lexington, and she posted an article on Facebook about Graeter's closing their Lexington stores...didn't mention Louisville though! Bummer! Hopefully they won't be closed any others. And the pumpkin ice cream is as good as ever this year!

Sorry to hear of any closing, but you know, I don't believe I've been inside the door of a Graeter's since The Comfy Cow opened. ;)

Just bought some Greaters last night at Kroger on a splurge. Bourbon Ball. It was fine fine. I need to adjust my timing to get by Comfy Cow again though.

I have inside info from a pretty reliable source that Trader Joe's is going into that space.

Hey, it makes sense! Trader Joe's generally prefers to move into former retail space in offbeat locations with crappy parking issues!

All we need to do is to turn the former Biggs in Middletown to an IKEA and we are on our way!
