Fern Creek to get Farmers Market

The C-J reported today that the Fern Creek Community Center on Bardstown Rd will host Saturday farmers markets beginning May 17 next year. This is great news for us folk out south-east!

Even if I don't live in Fern Creek, I think this is good news. Every part of town ought to have a good farmers' market, and I'm thinking FC has sufficient interested population to support a good-size one.

Have no idea where the Community Center is, but glad to have a market nearby! Though I'm sure I'll still be visiting St.Matthews on occassion just for the easy access to Heine Bros coffee! Now if they'd bring one of those out here...

Fern Creek Community Center is located in front of Fern Creek High School and Fern Creek Fire Station ; near the corner of Bardstown Road and Fern Creek Road.

As a resident "Creeker", I am pretty excited about the possibility.

The "Creek" is risin' again!
