Thanksgiving's over, so Round Two: Who's open...

by Lonnie Turner » Wed Dec 01, 2010 9:28 am

...Christmas Eve. Might as well be all inclusive and ask about Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day.
My wife & I don't buy each other gifts, or not to amount to anything, we just treat ourselves to a really good restaurant on Xmas Eve.

I just posted details about The English Grill's prix fixe Christmas Dinner in the "Christmas/Holiday" thread at the top of the forum.

Always reliable for the holidays is Vietnam Kitchen. For that matter, many Asian restaurants work right through the Western holidays.

How busy does Vietnam Kitchen get on Christmas Day? We may end up there so is it necessary to go early, make reservations, etc?

I don't know that they take reservations, but in my experience, it's not a long-line kind of deal. We've gone out there around 2 p.m. on a couple of Christmases and found it full of people having fun, a good mix of Westerners and Vietnamese, but we've never had to wait for a table.
