Rattlesnakes on Lewis & Clark

by carla griffin » Thu Aug 09, 2007 6:59 am

Does anyone know anything about a bar/restaurant on Lewis & Clark Parkway in IN called Rattlesnakes? It was formerly a Mexican restaurant (at the 5th stop light) but the new Rattlesnakes sign has been up for a week or two. It never seems to be opened. Any clues? :?

Last time I'll ask and then I'll let the chain die but I could really use any info on this restaurant anyone might have. Both of my contacts from there are gone.

Carla, I'm sorry you've stumped the panel ... that rarely happens around here! I just ran various permutations of "rattlesnake restaurant" through Google and came up with a fair number of eateries around the nation - Detroit's Rattlesnake Club seems to be the most prominent - but they all look like indies, no evidence that I could find of a chain by this name.

Thank you for trying Robin. It 's just that it looks like a little independent in the old La Frontera location and independent are few and far between along the Lewis & Clark Parkway. Thanks anyway for allowing me to ask the forum.

I've seen them open on the weekends. It seems like it's a "nightclub" and the parking lot is always full of tricked out cars and people walking around looking at them.

From what I have been able to tell, it is La Frontera with a different name. I read that La Frontera had their license suspended for selling alcohol when they only were licensed to sell beer and wine.

My guess is they sold the license to another group and they are using that space under the new name Rattlesnakes. From what I have seen driving by, it looks like the same crowd, just going to the same old place with a new name.
