The decor is similar to Blind Pig, kinda upscale rustic with worn dark woods and manly, massive furniture and lots of stainless steel. They get use mostly local products and had a good sized local brew list. The place smelled amazing from the second you stepped in the door. We decided to try as many things as we could and have to say most was very good!
We tried the Burnt Ends which were nice and barky, basted in sauce and packed lots of flavor. Oddly, they weren't very smokey flavored...though the regular brisket was. The brisket wasn't quite as tasty as yours, but was very tender and pretty good still. The pork was tender through and through and did have a good smoke flavor...they are using Hickory wood with it and it was pretty prominent. The chicken was also tender and juicy, not overly smoked. The sausage was incredible! It's made in house and it's very peppery...we only tried the regular, I can't imagine what the hot is like since this had a bit of a bite to it, but with all the flavors they had put in along with the long smoking, it was amazing!
The Chocolate Dr.Pepper cake was incredible! We knew we wanted it before we started placing our order and planned to put half of everything in a to-go box...was hard to do, but worth it. Super moist, very chocolatey and the homemade butter cream icing was perfect!
