Pizza restaurant lost school's order

by Ellen P » Wed Nov 24, 2010 1:10 pm

My husband's team went to ATL yesterday with pizza scheduled to be delivered upon their return to school by 1:30. 30 or more pizzas.
When it wasn't there, one teacher ran out to get luncheon meat, bread, bananas for the students - afraid that some wouldn't have any food for the night without the planned meal.
The lunchroom found some milk and a few other things.
Anyway, the pizza chain brought the pizzas later, after the most of the kids had left. A few were still waiting for the second round of buses.
The pizzas were free, the team gets a free pizza party another time, plus each child got a coupon for a free pizza.
Obviously it is a chain that did that because a local restaurant couldn't have made that many for one time plus prepare for their restaurant nor make amends with that much free pizza.
Things happen. They did make it up.

Conversation starter? A parable about chains that do the right thing? Let's not set too high a bar here, folks ... I don't see any problems with the original post that justify requiring the poster to 'splain herself. ;)
