The subject line seems misleading. It's four specific drinks that include alcohol.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.

FDA warns makers of alcoholic caffeinated drinks

Agreed. I'll fix it. It's also misleading about "in Kentucky." Yes, I see that FOX (Fox!? ) 41 used the headline that Annemarie picked up, but if you read the article and the linked FDA report, it's national.

It does not include such liquors as Kahula, yet, because they fall under the category of GRAS from the FDA.

I guess my point was that caffeinated alcoholic beverages have been around forever.

Have you been reading the articles about this, Leah? It's a whole different can of worms. Canned alcohol-and-caffeine drinks put up in soft-drink-style cans with bright, colorful lettering, a real invitation to young'uns to slam a sixer. Made industrially and apparently designed to encourage binge drinking. I don't believe the ban extends to bartenders making coffee concoctions in any way, shape or form. Sheesh.

Yes. I'm a total news junkie. I watch several news stations for probably 8 hours a day while in my kitchen. Also read magazines and newspaper. No need for the "sheesh."

Didn't mean any harm by it, honest! But frankly, your comment did make me wonder if you had responded without reading the details first. I do that often, myself.
