A Big Thank You From Chef Mike Hungerford

As many of you well know by now I am no longer working at the Seafood Connection. I have a wonderful experience cooking for everyone who came to eat and appreciate all of your positive feedback you have given me over the last two years, but I have had to move on because of certain situations. I have not contemplated my next move so I am open to here any offers. All I know is the next thing I will be doing is a food demo on Aug 19 at the State Fair, and I am still doing private dinners for people that are interested. Hopefully something comes up soon and I can cook for you again!!!!

Mike, I see a couple of hundred people have viewed this post, and I'm surprised no one has jumped in. So let me be the first to thank you for the many good lunches I've enjoyed when you were at Seafood Connection. You made that place special by bringing real creativity and spirit to a lunch-counter post that a lot of chefs would have blown off. That's what made Seafood Connection exciting.

I hope they can maintain some of that spirit now that you're gone. And I wish you well wherever you land next. Please let us know ... I look forward to showing up there with knife and fork.
