Louisville Food Festivals/Events

by Ryan R » Thu Nov 11, 2010 7:27 pm

I am looking at trying to compile a list of the local food festivals that happen annually in Louisville, and I was hoping to get some feedback/insight on festivals I may have missed. We (DiFabio's Casapela on Frankfort Ave) have done the Taste of Clifton this year, which we thought was great, but I know there are alot more of events like this every year. The other one that popped into my head was the Taste of Innovation and Taste of Derby. Thank you for any help!

I'm not sure if you're only looking for food-specific festivals or just festivals in general where there's food, but here are a few thoughts:

World Fest
Cherokee Triangle Art Fair
Arts on the Ohio
Kentucky Crafted, The Market
St. James Court Art Show
Fork, Cork, & Style
Harvest Homecoming
Also, City Taste Tours does some progressive meal tours and themed food tours. Not the same as a festival, but a good way to get your place known.

Really both when I think about it. We are just looking to get out in the community and participate in events just like those to increase exposure. So anything like that the ones you've mentioned are what I am looking for. I would be happy to compile a list of these and repost it when it's finished.

Thank you!

There are several charitable events that offer tasting stations like the Clifton event. All are for great causes. Right of the top of my head there are the March of Dimes(which was last night), Taste of Louisville sponsored by the KRA and Taste of Derby for Dare to Care. I have contact information for all of these events.

Dan, could you send me a message with that information? Thank you again for the responses, they are a big help.
