Speaking as a born and bred (shouldn't that be bred and born ?) "Buckeye" I am -quite- fond of (almost) all of the Great Lakes offerings. Alas I predisposed to NOT attend any event that uses (insert raised pinky finger and speak in a false "Hah-vard" accent) the words "beer" and "pairings" in the same sentence. For those of you who do not hold such curmudgeonly prejudices, I highly recommend this event...Great Lakes beer/s are pretty damn good.

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

This is a really good deal. Five courses, five beers, tax, and gratuity for $50? Nice.
