PR - Dumante culinary challenge at Sullivan

Thank you Robin for allowing me to post this event....
This is going to be a great event, $30 per person. Each person gets to sample the top 5 entrees created using Dumante and the top 3 desserts. Stephen Dennison will be our "guest mixologist" Dumante will give the student with the top recipe in each category a $1000 scholarship, each finalist will also receive an award.

Sullivan University culinary students are scheduled to compete November 16 for prizes including a $1,000 scholarship in the Dumante Recipe Challenge.

The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Winston’s Restaurant on the Sullivan campus.

Contestants will be competing to create either the best Dumante infused entrée or dessert, with top category winners receiving a $1,000 scholarship prize, according to news release.

Judges will include chef and food professionals who will also select four entrée finalist and two dessert finalists. Each finalist will recieve $200.

Event attendees can create a meal by sampling all the competing dishes.

Dumante cocktails will be prepared by a guest mixologist to pair with the dishes.

The price for the competition, cuisine and cocktails is $30 per person.

Seating is limited.

Reservations can be made by calling 502.589.9254 and asking for the Dumante Recipe Challenge.

Dumante Verdenoce is a pistachio liqueur hand-crafted in southern Italy. This ultra premium liqueur is made in small batches from Italian pistachios. For more information, see the Dumante website.

Winston’s Restaurant is a teaching facility for Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies. NCHS prepares students for careers in the hospitality field by offering six Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. The University also offers professional baker, personal/private chef and tourism diplomas. For more information, see the Sullivan University website.

Winston’s is open Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch, 5:30 to 10 p.m. for dinner, and Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for brunch.
