ACF Announces Regional Awards and National Nominees

by Reagan H » Wed Oct 13, 2010 3:44 pm

Hey all, I wanted to pass on this year's American Culinary Federation Annual Regional Award Winners, announced at last night's meeting. Some familiar names in there, and we thank them for all their hard work and contribution to the chapter and profession. They will be honored at our annual President's Dinner in January; keep your calendars open, this dinner will be open to the public and a great chance to experience Chefs cooking for Chefs. One note, I get to make Chef Cary from Lily's Bistro for a featured recipe in the upcoming Dec/Jan issue of the Kentucky Monthly; keep an eye out for it, it is one recipe that is easy to make AND great. An excerpt from the press release follows...

Congrats to all the award winners. It's an honor to be part of such a prestigious group.

There is additional information on each award, and bios of the recipients at www.acfkentucky.org (click the "2010 Awards" link at the top of the page). As Reagan mentioned earlier, we will be honoring the award winners at the 2011 Presidents Dinner to be held in January. We'll keep the Hot Bytes community informed about this event - it's a great chance to enjoy a delicious multi-course dinner, and an inside look at what Chefs cook for other Chefs! Proceeds from the dinner will go to continue the James H. Edwards Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Enough sales pitch - anyone who would like more info on the Chef's Association, feel free to e-mail or PM me! Remember, we're open to all who are involved or interested in the culinary arts, not just chefs!
