Seviche: no longer Louisville Originals?

We dined at Seviche (awesome new fall menu, by the way!) this weekend and noticed that they have discontinued their association with LO. They had a sign on the door, something like "we will no longer be accepting LO cards or gift certificates, sorry for the inconvenience". I'm sorry that I cannot remember the exact wording. Sounded permanent, but I'm not sure. I was wondering if anyone else saw this, or knows why Seviche has discontinued their association with LO. Also, are any other places severing their ties with LO?

My feelings about LO are mixed: I think the card is cool and I love building points on it, but I feel guilty cashing the points in, so I never have. I also have never used the gift certs, although I might consider using one (or using LO card points) on a place that I've never been to before. I saw the recent thread on LO gift certs, so I realize that this is an ongoing controversy, and I wonder what all of this this has to do with Seviche.

I think the Sunday 1/2 price apps Special ended a loooooonng time ago.

Their Facebook page says, "Half Price Bottles of Wine every Sunday, $3 margaritas and $5 mojitos!"

I wonder if they will still honor the gift certficates that were purchased ealier...I still have a Seviche / LO certificate, that has not expired.

Madi, are you out there?

If not, wonder how I get exchange / refund from LO?

I hope they will honor what people purchased last week. I told a foodie here at work and she bought 3 different restaurant certificates for the first time.

I realize some people must abuse these things but I know we will order at least one drink when we use one plus add an appetizer.

I am so spontaneous when it comes to dining that I seldom buy certificates anymore. Rarely use the coupons in the paper. I've tried carrying them with me to force me to the restaurant, or put them in calendar order and use them the week before they expire - but I forgot.

Even gift cards we'll forget to use.

In regards to Louisville Originals,
We have decided to temporarily suspend our participation in the LO program due to technical difficulties we have experienced with the Gift Cards and Rewards Cards. We are working with Maggie and the other board members to find a solution to the problem. We still feel strongly about Louisville Originals and their dedication to promoting and preserving Louisville's independant restaurants. Hopefully we can fix the problem and begin participating again soon. In the meantime, we will still be accepting any "Seviche" specific gift certificates that were purchased through the quarterly online sales.
I hope this clears up any questions. I will be sure to let everyone know as soon as we are back on track.
