Carly Rae's reopens

by Charles C » Fri Oct 08, 2010 4:56 pm

Hi, this is my first post but I've been reading this forum for a couple of years.

I just wanted to post that Carly Rae's (on Oak and First) is open again. I live down the block and saw the TVs inside on last week, and yesterday ran into a guy in Rite Aid with a Carly Rae's shirt so I asked him about it.

They are having their official relaunch on Novemeber 1st, but have been open since last week (for the art fair) and hope to do good business as the Blues festival this weekend.

The waiter was really nice, and said that it's now open under new management, with more of an emphasis on Soul food. They will be bringing back bands to the patio too!

If you go there for lunch, ask for Leonard to serve you - and he has about 40 things to recommend. :)

I will post a review when I eat there - probably next week after the blues festival.

Thanks!

I agree but I'm a bit biased - we had our wedding reception on it :)

Holy patios! I was literally just saying the other day that I wish Carly Rae's were still open so there would be a place where we could enjoy comfortable Old Louisville patio dining again (and the inside is cozy in winter, too.) We always had nice nights there, with solid food and very friendly service, and enjoyed taking friends. This is good.
