Does anyone know if Kashmir has reopened after the fire? If not any idea of when? Thanks.

No time soon. We looked inside Sunday & the place is a mess. Ceiling falling down & no sign of a repair team.
The mail box was also very full.

This is slightly off-topic, but somewhat related... does anybody know what exactly is going on over at the former Just Fresh that was just a few doors down from Kashmir? Because they, too, had a fire in the back of the building just a few weeks ago, and all of a sudden, today, I see that the "For Lease" sign that has been outside for over a year now had a sign over it saying "Leased."

Ug - just read this: http://www.courier-journal.com/article/ ... former+café+on+Bardstown+Road

Apparently a Shermin-Williams paint store is going in there. That's disappointing, but I suppose it's better than some fast-food joint.

Ramsi's employees told me that Kashmir had another fire and would reopen in a few months. They had some damage to the kitchen and decided to remodel while the place was closed down. They need to take down some walls and make a better place for their buffet, so I'm excited about them reopening.

Scuttlebutt I heard from a FB friend. I'm not even sure it's true, but merely passing along the word.

Some weeks ago I noticed Kashmir had added a sign up at the former Scientology building, so it looks like they've moving instead of renovating. Any word on when they might reopen? We've tried other Indian places around town but Kashmir is the only one that really scratches the itch, so to speak.
