Ate Brunch at Bristol instead of Ramsis

by Ellen P » Sun Oct 03, 2010 4:03 pm

Had a Groupon for Ramsis. Only seating without a wait was outside and it was alittle cold. They were offering the buffet - which might have been good - but with the Groupon it didn't work out this time for the two of us. As we left, we noticed that the 'old' entrance had a 'C' health department sign:-(
Headed to the Bristol 1:15 but plenty of time to sample the buffet. Had the green chili wontons on the buffet!. Didn't eat a waffle, but cheese/garlic/baked grits, fried chicken (wings), hash browns, etc. Not a huge buffet but enough to easily overeat just taking a small portion of food - hate to waste food. We then go back for seconds of something we really liked. There weren't any biscuits at the time, one of the employees overheard and brought some to out table. I think for 2 it was about $34 with coffee.
As we were leaving Karen S. was inquiring about a table but must have wanted something else - no really. She seemed to have found her usual attire instead of the courtroom wardrobe she wore briefly. The young man she was with was probably one of her sons.
After that, we saw Gerta Bendyl's son pushing the big globe down Baxter.
Wonderful day. We had started the morning at St. James around 9:30.
Yesterday we went to St. James, then NABC, then home to watch the UL game on computer/tv.
Fun weekend. Sorry we missed the NuLu fest and Volkfest but ran out of time. Looks like good crowds (younger) so they didn't need us:-)
