Downtown Trolley Hop Tonite

Lots going on. Chance to eat at a downtown spot. Stop at the Tap Room and/or the new BBC. Check out the progress on Whiskey Row AND the new arena. Trinity/St. X football for 35000+ but probably not me. Idea fest this weekend. St. James Court. Tomorrow the NuLu fest - 2nd year. We enjoyed that last year. Fit in UL football on the laptop>tv tomorrow at 7:00. I think brunch on Sunday at Ramsis after a early stroll through St. James. Life is good. Wish I had the time and money to do it all :D

Don't forget VolkesFest at BBC tomorrow. Clay and Main same time as NuLu. More good beer in a three block stretch than Louisville has ever seen.

Brownings is having the Slow Charleston Band from 7-9, and complimentary apps. There is so much good brew in town, hope everyone enjoys all the great stops on the trolley. Happy Friday :D

I was reminded of the Volkfest tonight when we stopped at the Tap Room. Ate at the Blind Pig on the way in. Bought some ridiculously wonderful desserts at Cake Flour. The flour chocolate cupcake! They make one at the Bourbon Street Cafe with Woodford Reserve. Yum.
Stopped at the glass place nearby and sampled some of the River Bend wine. Finished walking that stretch and went to the 10th Street/River Bend Winery. Wonderful bourbon barrel red wine. Nice crowd. Wonderful spot. Tables outside. Another lovely night in Louisville. (One place I went to the manager remembered that I trained him! 2 1/2 decades ago!)
Oh and at the end, we stopped at the BBC at Main. What a view of the new arena. Tonight the baracades were moved up to the steps so that we could get a closer look. There are two huge banners of 2 bball players. One is the local girl Monique Reed. What fun for her.
