Fried chicken and brunch?

by Ellen P » Thu Sep 30, 2010 11:59 am

Co-worker who is from Florida, is still looking for good fried chicken with a brunch on the weekend? Do all the Bristols do fried chicken? I remember Francise did have fried chicken on the buffet at the Bardstown Rd. Bristol, but I haven't been there in a while. Thanks.
(And he has worked his way through a lot of fried chicken since he has been here.)

Prospect Bristol does fried chicken on its Sunday brunch. They have a fairly good brunch.

Harrods Creek
Exactly 5 miles from the Water Tower on Zorn Ave going East on River Rd. and it is called Cunningham's on the River and yes they do have fried chicken on their brunch

Hi Ellen,
We also have fried chicken on our brunch with several other items to choose from.

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Claudia Sanders does a big Sunday buffet if I remember correctly. That might be a fun destination.

If you know any country club members, almost all local clubs have a Sunday Brunch with fried chicken. I know I personally fried up thousands of pounds during my tenure at Big Spring.

I feel another math equation coming on.....
Let's see.....We went though at least 120#s a week(3-40# cases, I had a standing order from Preston St. Poultry)
Double or triple that on big holidays (Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving etc)....Let's see..v=2200#s of extra chicken, 50 weeksx120#+v=8200. I worked there a little over three years so that makes 8200x3=24,600/ 2000#s in a ton=12.3 tons (give or take) of fried chicken that was cooked.

The Bristol's brunch is pretty good, and their fried chicken is yummy!

I like the Bristol's too. Only problem I have with it, and some of the other buffets in town, is the chicken sitting under a heat lamp too long...I try to grab it when they bring it from the kitchen.
