Hi Scott,
There are 24 home games this year for Uof L Mens BBall and we are going to cruise to the majority of them, there are certain dates that conflict in which we already have the Princess chartered out for. Also we take the Princess to L.B.L. every year in late January to early February for eagle watching cruises on Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.
The first 2 exhibition games we are not going to do and the Butler / Louisville game Nov. 16th is close to being sold out on the yacht ( we are only cruising with 100 ppl. on these charters )
Am looking at a price range from $25 to $30 per person right now and I should have everything mapped out by late next week when I get back. This will include heavy hor d'oeuvres with a cash bar and dessert / coffee selection on the way back, on some cruises there might be a full dinner buffet, I am looking at times and day of of the week to make that decision. We will disembark a hour and a half before tip off ( takes 45 minutes to get downtown depending on current ) and we will leave a half a hour after game is over.
I am also looking into doing cruises when it comes to concerts and other venues, when the Eagles were announced I looked at the calendar and we already had a private charter booked that evening. My daughter about had a coronary when Lady Ga Ga was announced so I will be looking at that day also, probaly going to do My Morning Jacket also and those will be priced to accomodate the crowd.
I am looking at putting the cruises on EventBrite which is easy to navigate and it allows all information to be displayed plus settles down the phone calls to the restaurant. As I get more info on all events I will post to the forum.
Obviously this is the first year we have done this and we are going to promote it for the Louisville area and surrounding areas also and we will see what kind of response we get.
Cheers
Oooops...almost forget the Princess will be letting off at The Wharf right behind the Belle of Louisville, currently we are working with Waterfront Development about docking in front of the arena.....real shallow water there though
