possible offline?

by John Hagan » Tue Sep 28, 2010 10:47 am

Just wondering if there would be any interest in doing an offline at Peking City Bistro. Maybe something along the lines of the feast that was done at the old Red Pepper(maybe someone could drop a link to that old thread). We have a been over there several times and it just keeps getting better. Ill be over there later in the week and will ask them about it, if there is enough interest here.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I'm in. I hated to miss the Red Pepper but it was out of my budget.

Put me down for 2, depending on the date.

One, possibly 2 depending on the date from this corner (Alan has another trip to Boston in the short term)

OK lets throw this idea out there. What if all agreed to a set dollar amount(obviously drinks not included) say maybe 10,15 or 20 bucks per person. Ill ask them what they could do for a group the size of BLANK for BLANK dollar amount. Im thinking it would be cool to go all "traditional" type offerings, again similar to the Red Pepper experience. Thoughts?

Great idea, John. We'd tenatively be in for 2, depending on the date. During the week, Monday and Thursday is generally good for us as my wife has class late Tuesday and Wednesday. Weekends, with the exception of this weekend, are usually pretty clear.

8) That worked extreamly well at Red Pepper (for the record, GOD I MISS THAT PLACE). That was a wonderful evening as I recall!

I haven't been there yet, so I don't know what is reasonable to set per person...15? 20? Put me and my punk rock husband down!

Great idea! Put us down for two. Good idea to check with them, too, and make sure they're willing and what they would consider a reasonable cap. We've been known to flood a place with 50 revelers and then trash them in public for service, and I'd just as soon not put an eatery in that awkward position.

Love that place!

We're in, me for certain and a "maybe" for my sweetie.

She usually works late on Thursdays, but unfortunately her early days are always a crapshoot.

Sounds like a great idea to us! Put us down for 2, of course depending on the date. I would say we would have to go to at least $20.00 to get a nice spread.
