Last Farmers Market at Beargrass Christian Church

Fellow Foodies,

Just a reminder, this is the last Saturday for the St. Matthews Farmers Market at Beargrass Christian Church. And I wanted to thank everyone who supported the Market this year, specifically those who visit us at Maria Louisa's for salsa and breakfast burritos.

The church is also having “The Celebration of the Harvest” on Sunday, Sept. 26 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Food from the market vendors (burritos included) will be available along with various musical performances. Come and out and see us.

I will vouch for Burrito Man's burritos. I enjoyed them for breakfast the past 2 Saturdays. They're a solid deal as well at 3 bucks a piece, especially considering farmer's market prices. I ordered 2 the first time, and I was full after one.

I ordered 2 the second time also, because they were some damn fine breakfast burritos.

Off topic, but, Burrito Man, do you happen to know what happened to Brisket Man? He hasn't been there the last 2 times, and I wouldn't mind grabbing some of that brisket before the market closes

Dan E, glad you liked the burritos. Always appreciate the vote of confidence. As far as brisket goes, I believe you are talking about the tent at the very end of the lot. Many of the vendors alternate week to week so I have no idea what their schedules are. However, check out this list of vendors to see if you can recognize their name. Contact info is included.

I got an email a couple weeks ago from Ken's Backporch BBQ, due to health issues they were not going to be at the BCCFM any more this year...made me very sad, his Q was really tasty...

And Maria Louisa's salsa totally rocks!
