Fleur de Lis cafe today's LivingSocial deal

by Adam Smith » Thu Sep 23, 2010 10:48 am

I've never been, it says Southern food. So is it any good? The deal is $10 for $20 worth of food and non-alcoholic drinks.

We went a couple of months ago because they had marrow on the menu. Those unfortunately were frozen nuggets in the center. However, the "million dollar" burger was very good. My friend's stuffed tomato entree was quite bland, and the mushroom duxelle in the unseasoned quinoa was flavorless. We did have a perfectly seared piece of fois as an app. So in my opinion it was hit and miss.

Have read good reviews on the breakfast items so snagged a deal and will be checking it out this weekend.

We picked one up. I've also heard the breakfast is good, and so the deal is a good excuse to try the place out. Looking forward to strolling up there one a crisp fall day (or, well, any day when it's under 90 degrees. :? )

We went for brunch a month or so ago. A lot of the same items from when it was Sweet n Savory with some good additionals. Everything was very good, and the old SnS dishes seemed better with Fleur de Lis' preparation.

We haven't been for dinner.

We ended up going for breakfast this morning and the food was good. Not anything to rave about, but if you need breakfast and are in the area, it's a decent place to stop by. Our service was a little lacking, but think that might have been due to the place being packed. There were only 2 open tables when we got there, a line when we left and 4 servers handling it all. Glad we got to try it, but probably not going to make into the weekend breakfast spot rotation.
