Ham Stand needed

by Deb Hall » Wed Sep 22, 2010 2:31 pm

Anybody have a stand to display a whole bone-in ham that we could borrow tomorrow evening for the Fundraiser? We have a beautiful ham from Jay Denham and want to show it off. See Dan's post:

Please PM Dan Thomas if you can help.

Thanks!

I've got one of those wire ham racks from Honeybaked Hams. It's nothing like the ones you have pictured on the other thread but I'd be happy to loan it to you if it'd help.

Looks a little like:

Thanks for offering Lois but we really need one of the other ones.

If I don't find one by noon time; then I'm going to do my best "engineering" job and try to cobble one together with some stuff I have around.

Well.... there always has to be something come up at the last minute when organizing something like this.
I just went on ahead and came up with this solution. I think it will work out fine! 8)

I know there were a lot of folks out there looking and I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. :D :D :D I can't believe that I couldn't find one anywhere in this city. :?

Your alternative version looks like it came out quite nice! You may have a future in woodworking if the chef thing doesn't work out.

As a matter of fact, I did that very thing for staff meal here at JCPS Nutrition Service Center yesterday.
I'm thinking about making a big pot of greens with what's left.
