Pumpkin shakes are back at Culvers!

by Lois Mauk » Wed Sep 22, 2010 11:13 am

I've been waiting patiently since November.
Today, I got word from Culver's that their pumpkin shakes are back!!

The Pumpkin Spice is my favorite but, in all honesty, I haven't tried the other two.

Two stores in the Louisville area -- one in Corydon near Wal-Mart and the other on South Hurstbourne near Meijers.

Lois - have you ever tried the pumpkin spice donuts at krispy kreme?

They're seasonal too, but once you try them - what can I say "I've been waiting patiently...!"

What could possibly be wrong with pumpkin + spice? Milkshakes, donuts, whatever!

I just had some of the pumpkin hand dip from Zesto's in Clarksville today, and it was fantastic. I'll have to ask them to make it into a shake next time.

The weird thing is I can't stand pumpkin pie, pumpkin rolls, etc. But you're right, the pumpkin spice thing great

It is strange but I love pumpkin anything BUT pie. Maybe it is a texture thing but I like sweet potato pie, persimmon...etc just not a fan of pumpkin pie.

with me it's the flavor - my dear old mom makes an incredible squash pie (same texture as pumpkin pie - she even serves it w/ whipped cream) but it tastes like a spice cake...I guess with me it's totally the the "spice" whether it's with pumpkin, squash, you name it!

Generally I agree, but I picked up some Dogfish Head Punkin' Ale over the weekend, and it was pretty good.

More beer for me!

I drink pumpkin beers like I drink bourbon - slow and in small sips. One is good, two is more than plenty when it comes to pumpkins.

I'm a spice fan, cinnamon and nutmeg are by far my favorite spices. Love the pumpkin spice foods and even the beers! Haven't tried the Culver's stuff yet, but did snag a pumpkin spiceberg from Heine Bros on my way back home and OMG! I used to love the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks, but it's too sweet...Heine Bros does it right! Enough pumpkin spice flavor, but still know that it's a coffee drink, not a milkshake!
