Breakfast at Dish on Market

by Paul Beede » Sun Sep 19, 2010 12:43 pm

My girlfriend Hilary and I have eaten at Dish on Market the last two Sundays, and it's been great! They've got their regular menu available, and when we got there around 10AM were one of the only couples in there both times. If you're looking for a great breakfast (and no wait), try this place. The portions were just right, and prices seemed reasonable. And, they've got Sunergos coffee!

I've had the shrimp and grits both times (first tried them at WorldFest, but these are cooked to order). It's a great savory dish, with stone-ground grits, bacon, green onions, and a tomato salsa over it. Definitely comfort food.

Hilary had their breakfast enchiladas this morning (eggs, chorizo, queso blanco, and beans- covered with a mole/enchilada sauce), and has had their Market Breakfast before (eggs, meat, biscuit, potato hash).

They've also got pancakes, other breakfast items, and a quiche of the day (today it was ham, swiss, and green onion).

We're thinking about making this place our weekly Sunday breakfast spot- hope to see some more folks there!

Thanks for your comments Paul. We launched our new brunch menu last week, and should have our complete website finished this week.

We stopped in for happy hour on Friday, and were pleasantly surprised to see that Dish has rolled out a cocktail menu with most of Anderson's creations from Asiatique.

Just got back from a quick lunch at Dish, and was fairly impressed.....had the Dish Burger with Cheddar and Bacon.....my only complaint was the bun.....it was very generic.....they had other breads for other sandwiches on the menu.....thought that the signature hamburger would have a "regular" bun and not something more special.

Cheers!
