Two restaurants receive city low-interest loans

by TP Lowe » Thu Jul 26, 2007 2:21 pm

From Business First:

* Wild Eggs, an upscale breakfast restaurant planned by J.D. Rothberg and Shane Hall, received a $50,000 loan to open in the DuPont Circle area. Rothberg, who owns Napa River Grill in DuPont, and Hall, who manages that restaurant, plan to open WIld Eggs at 3938 DuPont Circle.

* The Cafe, which is now at the Louisville Antique Mall, received a $25,000 loan to move to 709 Vine St. between the Highlands and downtown. Cafe owner Sal Rubino plans to use the loan to relocate from the mall on Goss Avenue to the Vine Street location off Broadway, as well add new windows, doors and awnings to the new location.

I for one am "eggcited" about the new Wild Eggs thing (sorry, couldn't resist the YOKE of the Day).

I hope the cafe can make it on it's own.......I know they do a land office business with catering, but they also get ALOT of foot traffic from the Mall.
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!
