Chicken Noodle Soup - Quick!

by Brad Keeton » Wed Sep 15, 2010 3:49 pm

My wife is feeling under the weather, and has requested that I pick up chicken noodle soup for her on my way home. Who has the best (preferably between downtown and the end of the Highlands)?

Stevens and Stevens is an excellent suggestion.

Bistro 301 has good soups- don't know if they have this today. You could also try Burger's market- maybe they have something good frozen.

Personally, when someone here is sick, I make a quick batch of the "Soup Starter" brand Chicken noodle soup. You can get it at Kroger in the soup stock section. One pot- It only takes 30-40 minutes and you can make it with any kind of chicken you have on hand ( Boneless is faster). I make homemade soups but I still prefer the intense chicken flavor of this one when I'm sick. The Cugino's brand at Paul's is great too.

Great suggestion, Deb - Burger's will definitely have homemade chicken noodle soup.

I see the creeping crud is making its rounds. My husband and I have both been sick for a few days. It's not chicken noodle soup (although it does have chicken in it) but Simply Thai serves up a fantastic Tom Yum Gai (basically nicely spicy chicken soup) that I request when I feel icky.

We always make a fast visit to almost any Chinese restaurant and grab some won ton soup. Light broth and bug noodles I can slice up into smaller pieces.

I went with Burgers (chicken noodle and chicken and dumplings). Very very good.

I order the Pho every chance I get. I've been known to order it on a 95 degree day. My husband thinks I'm nuts.
