Looking for a good caterer (or two)

by Robin Garr » Wed Sep 15, 2010 7:59 am

A friend of ours has a grant to set up four small dinners surrounding the annual Festival of Faiths.

He's looking at four dinners for eight people each, two on Sept. 30 and two in the last week of October. These would be catered in people's homes, dinner and wine, looking for "slow food" and locavore dining with at least a vegetarian option at some of the meals.

If you have suggestions of caterers he might contact, let me know. If you'd like to bid, contact me by PM or Email to robingarr@gmail.com.

Since the first dinners are only a couple of weeks off, time is essential, so let me know!

Sandra is the owner and used to have a place in LaGrange called Delizie Italiane, she uses only local fresh and makes everything (pretty much) from scratch, good luck.

Robin,

Farm to Fork catering. Very locavore-focused - great food! I'm sure she would have many veggie options.
Here's her facebook site: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Louisville-KY/Farm-to-Fork-Catering/167638238427

For those of you ( like me) who don't use facebook :) :
FARM TO FORK CATERING

We provide outstanding catering services through our passionate and professional staff and practice sustainability through composting and recycling. 8905 Hwy 329, Crestwood, 40014, 502-523-4840, farmtoforkfood@gmail.com

Also, I know the White Oak does catering and the menu they gave me for a company catering ( unfortunately cancelled) was definitely focused on local ingredients.

Havana Rumba does a good job with catering. They will drop the food off for a fee, and you can opt to have a full service setup for an additional fee. You can also opt for drinks such as Sangria and Mohito's as well. They did a wedding reception that I attended and people loved it. I believe they just talked to the manager at the St Matthews location to set it up.
