The new development at the old Masterson's site

by Leah S » Mon Sep 13, 2010 9:52 pm

Just received this:

3rd Street Development, LLC will be holding their groundbreaking ceremony for the mixed-use development project on Tuesday, September 14th at 11:00 AM located at the corner of 4th Street and Cardinal Street. The ceremony will be kicking off the construction of the new four-story “Student Living” building along with 29,000 square feet of retail space. The following retailers will be on site and offering samples of their food and products during the event: Comfy Cow, Gray’s College Bookstore (gifts), Heine Brothers Coffee, Home Run Burgers & Fries (coupons), Jimmy Johns, Papalino’s Pizza and Qdoba Mexican Grill.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to any colleagues within your organization who may have an interest in attending. We look forward to seeing you!

Comfy Cow and Pappalinos? OMG. Do you think both are going to be in the new building? I'll be living on my treadmill.

If this is the green building I've heard about then yes, I believe Papalino's will be one of the tenants.

Man, I hope all of those outfits move in to this complex.... My building is in Old Lou close to Central Park/St. James. Lunch places within a close vicinity are scarce... This would be awesome!!!!!

How long was Masterson's there? I remember going there very late at night, back in 1967.

Another long time restaurant, Melrose Inn, was featured in the CJ today. Owner to be honored.

73 years, you probaly had a late night bite in The Hollywood Steakhouse. Until recently I had no idea, but they were one of the first restaurants to have an air conditioning system in Louisville. For anyone into heating and air this system was a "mammoth" we are talking giant !

I was talking to Allan the other day and he was very excited about the new location having just returned from the groundbreaking. I understand they may be discussing co-branding that location and possibly others with the Comfy Cow.
Great pizza and ice cream together under one roof? Sounds like it could be a big hit :D
