Selena's

We had such a lovely dinner at Selena's last night. I only wish we hadn't waited so long to go there. My 3 yr old was even on his best behavior and was absolutely thrilled when a train went by. Hope everyone could excuse him for shouting "choo choo all aboard!"
I had a really yummy pasta dish that had roasted peppers, grilled chicken, mushrooms and a creamy tomato sauce. My husband had the stuffed shrimp, dirty rice and sweet potato fries. I would say it was almost like having crab hushpuppies around med. sized shrimp. I'm not much of a seafood person, but even I thought the stuffing part was good. My MIL had the parmesan crusted corvina, grilled veggies and sweet potato fries.
I was really impressed with the price and very friendly service. Kevin, our server, just really seemed to enjoy where he worked and the food and was a good, but unobtrusive server. They were also very smart and brought out Ben's basket of fries before the rest of the meal, which definitely made a busy 3 yr old happy!
We'll be back, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Had a great lunch at Selena's a couple of weeks ago. I hollered at the train, too ...

We LOVE Selena's. It's probably our favorite restaurant! Consistently great food and service.

I really enjoyed the offline there. If it weren't so far away from us, we would be there more often. Lovely atmosphere, neat building. The servers were so nice and did a great job, and my red beans and rice dish was delicious. They made a nice Mardi Gras hurricane, as well. :!:
