301 Bistro

Just had a fantastic lunch there with my daughter, her beau and another one of their buddies. I had a pasta dish, olive oil with a ton of garlic, a big fist size portion of salmon, panko bread crumbs and anchovies. It was amazing! Nothing for the faint of heart however. If you don't love garlic or anchovies it's not for you but I found it divine. (Note: I would have preferred an angle hair pasta to the "fatter" spaghetti that was used but other than that wonderful!) Everyone else had pretty standard offerings - a hot brown, and other pasta dishes all well executed. I was just bowled over by my meal. Service was friendly and efficient without being overbearing and without that phony, artificial" everybody's buddy" approach.
All in all I'm surprised I don't hear more about this place on this forum. They were packed at 1PM so it definitely has a fan base.

Funny, I'd never heard of it either, but one of my FB friends had lunch there yesterday too.

I'm a big fan. One of my favorite dishes in town is their tortellini diablo. The bar has a very inviting atmosphere as well. I have gone there many times pre actors theatre since they are right around the block, and as well for late lunches. I usually see their outdoor seating fairly full in the evening for happy hour.

A very fine place. I seldom go because I do not normally go downtown. However when I have gone the place has excellent food and great service.
