Hot Brown PIZZA coming to Jarfi's!

by Robin Garr » Wed Jul 25, 2007 2:03 pm

I just got this by private E-mail and couldn't resist sharing it. It can't possibly be good for you, yet it's eerily seductive. I must try this!

Friday, July 27, Jarfi's Bistro at the Kentucky Center and Jarfi's at Mellwood will be adding a new item to their menus:

Hot Brown Pizza - all the traditional ingredients of a Kentucky Hot Brown - turkey, mornay sauce, bacon, diced tomato and parmesan cheese - atop Jarfi's freshly baked, house-made, focaccia bread.

Speaking of Jarfi's

We went last Friday night. My inlaws were in town so we had a babysitter and we took advantage! I had the seabass---again...I couldn't resist. My husband had the pork chop which was just as wonderful. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great...this may be my new fav spot!

Use "Good For You" and "Hot Brown" in the same breath! One must just assume that if it's a hot brown, it must not be at all condusive to anything healthy.

Haven't you learned anything in your years as a Louisvillian?
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

We've been doing a Hot Brown pizza on our buffet for a few weeks now. Ours isn't traditional, we cheat and use a prepared alfredo sauce. But it is still mighty good.

Guess I need to git me out your way too, Scott. A man's got to keep abreast of this cutting-edge culinary stuff ...
