Cafe Lou Lou's St Matthews location is exceptional

by STEVEN TON » Wed Jul 25, 2007 1:24 pm

I had the privelege to visit the new Cafe Lou Lou location in St Matthews and I have to admit the space is stunning. I usually can tell within the first five seconds whether or not a location has the right energy and vibe. Once I stepped into the new space I felt right away that the new location definitely got it right. From the copper top bar to thte spacious ceiling and lively colors it hass the feel of the clifton location with a more upscale casual feel which is a nice touch. The food is still excellent I had the mezze plate which was full of fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend this new location for lunch and dinner.

I concur! I went on Sunday with a couple of friends and loved what they've done with the place. They were out of the item I ordered, so I had to choose something else. The waiter was very helpful, and they even sent over another cocktail on the house because I had to wait a little longer than the rest of my table. I got the wings app., which was quite tasty, although I would have liked it to be a little spicier. Other people at the table had calzones and the Lou Lou pizza. They all loved their meals and everything looked and smelled delicious.

We were there 2 weeks ago on Sunday with my in laws and it was packed! The restaurant is beautiful and eclectic as always! And the food was superb!

Clay and Helen, you have outdone yourselves as always! Congratulations!

And don't forget, Clay was Mr. March on the Secrets of Louisville Chefs (aka Naked Chefs) calendar and he was HOT! HOT! HOT!
