Captain's Quarters

by Alison Hanover » Tue Aug 31, 2010 11:30 am

OMG, I cannot believe that I have lived here for 12 years and no-one has ever told me about Captain's Quarters. I love the place. The setting is amazing and the food is awesome. Alan came out and wished me a Happy Birthday. We had a blast. The reggae band was great and we have decided to take our son, his girflriend and her parents there for his 18th on 12th September. I don't want to go to another restaurant ever again. :D

One of our favorite places...although we never seem to run into Alan on our visits.

I think they do a fine job - 15+ years ago the food was just ok. These days it's very very good with some really nice options. A nice beer and wine selection as well. We live close and with the River Road bridge now open we can be there in 5 minutes.

I guess you never paid attention to the past 43 posts about Captain's Quarters (do a word search). I even chimed in on this place a few months ago. It offers not only one of the best settings in Louisville on a nice day, but the food is also good.

now now, no need to be sarcastic. Until I read the menu I presumed (wrongly) that it was way out of my price range. Anyway, I was referring to my friends not forum members when I said why didn't anyone tell me. Also, one can say a place has nice setting, but until actually viewed in person it is difficult to envision. So there!!

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.
