The old Karem's location in St Matthews

The spot on Wallace avenue by the convenience store... there was to be a French bistro there but rumors have been swirling that they ran out of money, etc. Now, the lady in the party store said she heard that a pizza by the slice place would be opening there. Nooooo

Anyone?

You heard right... it's going to be a pizza pub. Pizza by the slice, beer, and pub grub. It's a new one - Diorneo's (or something like that). Looks like they've made a lot of progress on the kitchen, but the dining area and bar have a way to go... could be open in a couple of months. Between them, Spinelli's, Boombozz, Naked Pizza, Domino's, and Pizza Hut, there's going to be pizza overload in that neighborhood.

Hi Forum! The pizza place opening is DiOrio's-friends of mine. The family has been in the Pizza Business in another city years ago. They should be opening soon...!

Is it going to be open late at night, Caroline? I suspect we're seeing the sudden arrival of critical mass for St. Matthews as another club zone ... and the arrival of places like Spinelli's and now DiOrio's to serve them. :)

All we need now is a rolling taco/falafel stand and St. Matt is set.

The Cuban food truck could make a killing over there.

Being directly behind Diamonds and within crawling distance of Molly Malone's and Saints, Brendan's and Dutch's and BBC, just to name a few, it seems like a slam-dunk for them to be there to satisfy late-night munchies, but what do I know?
