Sign on the 300 Building

by Leah S » Mon Aug 23, 2010 8:11 am

It's probably been up for months, but I just saw it yesterday. "Restaurant and Brewery coming Summer 2010" Then BBC Bluegrass Brewing Company at the bottom

The 300 building is next door to Actor's Theater. I'd think a restaurant/brewery would be brilliant there!

But according to the schoolkids, summer 2010 is over.

What's I miss?

There was a posting in the employment forum for this location about a month ago. I would guess that they're close to opening.

I'm pretty sure they are already brewing.

They started brewing a couple weeks ago. Staff training now, open soon. They have a bunch of pictures up on their FaceBook page.

BBC posted an invitation on FB recently. I don't want to post here in case they are keeping it low key. Perhaps someone from the BBC would post. Looking forward to it. Can't wait.

Hi Everyone!

I saw this post and just wanted to let everyone know we are working on our soft opening this weekend but we are doing a Sneak Peak Pub Preview from 10pm-2am tonight for the public. Happy Hour Imperial Pints, Well Liquor, and House Wines. $5.00 Woodford, Bonterra Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc, & Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay & Live Music! Come on down and check it out! :D

I'll have to admit it is a little scary(exciting) looking out the big windows and seeing the doors to the Arena right there, the visualization of 20,000 people pouring over the sidewalks after a game or an event is a little intimidating. I think the staff will do a phenominal job and everyone is happy about the newest addition to the BBC Family, it just keeps getting better.

I do like my cozy fountain square on my end of 4th Street so if you all ever come down to visit the new store on 3rd&Main make stop by the 4th Street location and say "hi", we would love to see you too!

Thanks!
Allison

We went last night and the place is amazing. What a great spot. Love the downstairs bar especially. As a BF associate, I love that local places like BBC feature our brands. Alot of familiar brands are now owned by foreign entities - makes YUM look really local - but Brown-Forman is still located here in Louisville with facilities all over the world.
Jack Daniels, Single Barrel, Gentleman Jack, Lynchburg TN
Canadian Mist, Collingwood Ontario
Woodford Reserve, Woodford County
Old Forester and Earl Times, Shively
Chambord, France
Finlandia vodka
Wines such as Bonterra, Sanctuary, Little Black Dress
Southern Comfort
Tuaca
Herradura, El Jimador, Don Eduardo, Pepe Lopez tequilas
Korbel Champagne
These are just some of the brands. The company and the family members have contribute so much. We are so fortunate.

We managed to score invitations to the pre-opening luncheon on Friday. We really liked the food. The bar area was awesome and the happy hour prices got everyone's attention. There were a few mis-steps, only one of which was significant. However, we all understood that the purpose of the luncheon was to work out the kinks prior to the grand opening.

I work across the street, so I can see becoming a regular.
