Are they still open? Website? Menu? Hours? Anything?

They are open for sure. Looks like the website is dead but I'm pretty sure they are open lunch and dinner seven days a week. Troy is doing great things there.

Yes, and now I feel guilty. We went a few weeks ago for our anniversary (it was the spot of our first date six years ago; also the night of the summer windstorm - July 13, 2004 - we spent 2 hours of our date in the basement of the restaurant until the storms passed, sans electricity, sipping our wine with a few other couples), and it was fantastic. They were packed for a Wednesday night, and you could tell that the crowd was largely locals (St. Matthews) that frequent often; generally a slightly older crowd. Troy and the servers seemed to know just about everyone in the place. I have been meaning to comment on it for a few weeks.

Their wine list remains very solid, and the entire list is 1/2 off on Wednesdays. I wish I could remember what we had, but without an online menu to refresh, I just can't remember, but the appetizer, salads, and entrees were flawless. Our server was attentive and funny.

It really is an oft-overlooked and under appreciated gem. For some reason, their website no longer works, and hasn't for at least six months now, but they do take reservations through OpenTable.

I have not been in years. It falls under the radar for some reason and it shouldn't. We will make it to Clover Lane in the next month.

Is the place super stuffy? Could I just hang out at the bar and eat?

I'd say it's not super stuffy, but then, we're Boomers and go to St. Matthew's Episcopal, so we MAY fit the demographic. :D

Seriously, though, it's got a very pleasant atmosphere that reminds me more than a little of Provence. I like it, and like others here, can't really understand why we don't get there more often.

I don't find it stuffy at all, but I can't really recall if there's much of a bar area, or if you can eat at the bar. Again, a website would be helpful - you might just want to call.

There is a great outside eating area to use if the weather is nice. Their brunch is also, in my opinion, top 2 or 3 around. Really good.

Are they open for lunch during the week? When I read this for some reason I seem to recall they are NOT, but I hope I am wrong.

Troy,

Let me know if you need some help getting your site back up. I've been trying to access it for a few months now. :D

Love the restaurant, btw.

Contact our pals at Iglou.com and tell them I sent you for the HotBytes special. They'll take over your Website, clean it up, and keep it up for you for a very attractive monthly fee. Seriously. Ask for Dean Brooks.
