World Equestrian Games Event at Glassworks to Feature a New Malt Whiskey and Cooking Demonstration by Chef Dallas McGarity of Equus and Jack’s Lounge

Join officials from Alltech and the World Equestrian Games at Glassworks (815 West Market St) on Thursday, August 26 at 6pm for an event entitled Equine News & Brews, Beyond the Competition: Discovering the Sights, Sounds, and Tastes at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

Not only will you learn about what is going on at the Equestrian Games, you will be able to taste samples from a cooking demonstration by Chef Dallas McGarity of Equus and Jack’s Lounge and you will get to taste Alltech’s new single malt whiskey, Pearse Lyons Reserve, the first single malt produced in Kentucky in over 90 years.

Here is a short article on the whiskey launch

and here’s a link to a recent Whiskeycast interview with Dr. Lyons, president of Alltech (at the 29 minute mark)

In addition to the single malt whiskey, you can taste Alltech’s full line of beers and samples of Bluegrass Sundown, similar to an authentic Irish Coffee but infused with bourbon. Maker’s Mark, official bourbon of the Equestrian Games, will also be on hand pouring samples. There is no cost to attend.

If you are interested in attending please email jmarkle@alltech.com by Monday, Aug. 23.
