Seeing this post reminded me I missed seeing who won the Next Food Network Star :( And after turning the tv to Food Network it reminded me why I don't watch that channel much anymore...what exec thought Cupcake Wars was a good show idea? The same one that hired Sandra Lee?

I liked the Great Food Truck Race, thought it was entertaining. The Indian lady won Next Food Network start. I was hoping for the Big Chef guy last night, thought he would be more entertaining. For some reason, I prefer most of the male based shows on Food Network, so I guess that's why.

I also, do not like the cup cake or cake shows, very boring.

Her name was Aartie

His problem was he is too much like Guy F only not quite as polished.

Definitely have to agree on that one!

I was trying to forget her name. I think he was quite a bit different than Guy and with his own show could have had his own spin. And I didn't watch it when Guy won but I doubt he was perfect either at the same point. Practice and doing shows is what makes him polished, something that comes with time. Plus, I like the big guy because every time they showed his name it says "Unemployed Chef" under his name, how could you not pull for him

Blarg. Arti was my least fav. Have you watched D C Cupcakes. I believe it's on TLC. WORST. SHOW. EVER. It's the equivalent of "I think this milk's gone bad. Smell it for me, would ya?"

I know, the focus groups seemed to love big guy and the other guy seemed to be the 2nd favorite. Well, it is probably no coincidence since Indian food restaurants are expected to become the "the new chinese" restaurant revolution. (that's the only reason I can see that they picked her)

That would be a great name for a show..."Unemployed Chef". I was pulling for him as well. Indian is a good addition in terms of food however.

I know one of the guys from the first season went on to have his own show on Discovery...Lyon in the Kitchen. I thought the other guy, whose name I can never rememeber, would have been a good choice too with his healthy but tastey spin. I liked both of the guys better than her, she's kinda annoying and they have a few Indian shows on Cooking already. Maybe we'll get to see the others snag their own deals in the future too.
