Last night trolley hop

by Ellen P » Sat Aug 07, 2010 11:47 am

Lots of people everywhere. Started at the BBC Tap Room. APA. Walked through the gallery district at that end of Market. Had a glass of River Bend Winery - aged in 15 year old bourbon barrels. Felice Winery was gone? Didn't walk into the area. Miss Mellilos too much. Caught the trolley and did the whole Market and Main loop. Bats game going on. Art cars on display. Came back to where we started and drove down to River Bend Winery. Jazz/blues band playing. Good crowd. Great spot. Had another glass of the same wine, outside, people watching. Drove back to Tap Room area. Alot more people. Had a white chocolate gelato from the Gilberto cart from Norton Commons. But did not eat down town. Ended up back at El Mundo for Dippity Do as we worked our way back home. Fun night downtown. Perfect weather. Love downtown on the weekend.

Felice no longer has a 'bar'. Jeff has rented out the 1st floor level and Mellilo's old space but still is making wine downstairs. Johnnie's band was playing and a hand crafted jeweler were on the piazza. The Bodega at Felice was packed in the back portion of the complex. It is really nice Deli+. One of Mellilos chefs works there.
