OK, I have run across something that I've not run across before....Tomato Waterman Salad...it's a menu for our cafe here at the office, and I'm at a loss as to what exactly it is......any clues, foodies?
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

On google I found many different versions of tomato/watermelon salad, so I'm guessing it's a typo? What restaurant is it for?

It is for our Cafeteria that is run by Mastersons.....wouldn't surprise me if it is a typo, we're lucky to get a menu from them at all........

Bill, I've tried a tomato / watermelon salad recently. My company participates in the Louisville gov "farm to table" program. We have a weekly farmer's market onsite every Friday afternoon. The produce is grown and sold by Courtney Farms (very nice folks with beautiful produce).

Sarah Fritschner is the "director" of the project and she is onsite weekly preparing "samples" using products the farmers bring. Two weeks ago she had samples of this salad. If I recall correctly, the salad included:

watermelon
tomato
a little white onion
feta cheese
olive oil
chopped basil
a splash of balsamic vinegar\

It was very tasty!!! DD
