We went to Proof for breakfast (gift certificate, otherwise pretty pricey $41+ for two; $4 coffee). We arrived around 10:30 then went back to car with leftovers. (We take a cooler and ice packs with us when we go out.) There were already people touring around Main Street and taking pictures when we went in. We walked from Proof to 3rd and Main to check out the progress on the BBC, then crossed the street to walk down to 9th then returned to our car at 6th and Main. Lots of people by that time, dining, walking, taking pictures, heading to the KY Center. Not like NY or Chicago, but pretty impressive. I love downtown on the weekend in the summer. Looking forward to the trolley hop next Friday.
I wish there were a sculpture of Ali on Main to more dramatically point to the Ali Center. I also forget about Caulfields. Have never been in there. It wasn't until we crossed the street and headed back to the car that I remembered. We need something down that way to make us walk to the 10th Street Winery. Next time.
