We have a DCE representative out in the field picking right now.
Later this afternoon and tomorrow we will have gallons of fresh picked Kentucky blackberries.

These are sweet and delectable. Perfect for making cobbler and home made smoothies. This is the time this is the season!

Matt,
Would you be interested in a trade? One of my co-workers has 15 gallons of wild flower honey meade just dying for some berries.
Cheers,

Another week another bucket. The rains did the berries wonders and the ones that came in today are even larger and juicer than those that we picked last week!

My picking partner is already doing that only I expect him to make 20 gallons worth. We also have some going over to BBC Main St. for a batch of their honey mead.

YummY!

Here at the coffee shop we're doing fresh blackberry smoothies.

WOW!!! That's alotta pickin, don't let those thorns bite you! :P Just the thought of wild blackberries brings back nice childhood memories. Climbing fences at my grandmothers farm in Stanford, Kentucky, getting tangled up in thorns and coming back home with a purple face and just enough blackberries in hand to top off my vanilla ice cream after dinner. In later years we always raised blackberries but hybrid and much easier to harvest and maintain, no thorns and memories not as abundant with scratches and purple stains though still quite tasty. :D :D
