Iching chinese

by Heather Y » Mon Jul 16, 2007 10:15 am

Yesterday while travelling down Shelbyville Road, my son pointed and asked if I had been to Iching, it said "opening soon" and was lit up.

First, I told him that it had closed, and noticed that it looked open, but told him I had never been there anyway.

What's the deal ... open or not? anyone know?

As far as I know, Heather, it is. It had better be! I just reviewed it (and Yang Kee Noodle) in The Voice-Tribune last week, and it was going strong when I had lunch there a couple of times the week before that.

I find it quite similar to Yang Kee (or maybe it would be more accurate to say that I think Yang Kee and I Ching both respectfully emulate the model of Pei Wei, P.F. Chang's less pricey sibling, which is not currently in Louisvlle). To be honest, though, I think Yang Kee does a much better job, and since they're only a mile apart ...

I'll get the review online this week.

IChing takes half of the old Gateway store........the other half, which is now occupied by a matress outfit, which is NOW OPEN was for lease forever, which confused us foodies no end. The windows are so dark when you go by on Shelbyville Road you can tell who's where and serving what.
