We are fast approaching August 2nd and we have a lot of sponsors and a lot of support. We could always use any additional help that anyone is willing to offer. We are accepting in the form of donations, gift certificates, hole sponsors, teams, volunteers to work the event, and so on.
I also want to thank the many local restaurants that are showing us that they care, and share our interest in continuing to improve and enrich the local culinary scene through this scholarship fund.
Also wanted to let everyone know that we will be selling raffle tickets for several prize packages. These packages include:
a trip to California including tastings and tours at many wineries
a local dining package of gift certificates
a private shopping event at Clodhoppers
a Westport Village package
a UofL sports package including a signed helmet from ESPN
a golf package
The tickets will be sold at Dark Star Tavern on Wednesday the 28th along with live music, at Napa River Grill on the 31st, Wild Eggs in Westport Village on the 31st and the 1st. Tickets will be $20 or 6 for $100.
Again, this is a golf tournament at the Cardinal Club on August 2nd to benefit a scholarship for culinary students. It is named in honor of our Sous Chef Kenny Black who died in late April.
