Village Anchor Pub and Roost Offline Poll

by Gayle DeM » Tue Jul 20, 2010 2:02 pm

Forgive me for starting a new topic, but I was unable to generate a poll in an already started topic. I have talked with April at the Village Anchor Pub and we selected three possible dates. They will accommodate separate checks. We will be able to order from the full menu. Please realize, however, this will require additional time.

The poll will be open for ten (10) days. You may vote for up to three (3) dates. Youo will be able to change you votes up until the poll closes.

The evening will begin at 6 pm. The menus may be viewed at http://www.villageanchor.com/

Outstanding, Gayle! Thanks for posting ... it's probably good to have the poll in a separate conversation, and I will "pin" it to the top of the forum also.

The issue of the heat has yet to be addressed. I don't know how enjoyable dining outside will be unless we get a major break in the weather.

As mentioned very briefly in my review, those big fans and the overheads did an amazing job of keeping our table livable on an extremely hot (90-plus) evening. I know someone in one of the forum threads didn't like the fans, but I thought they were awesome.

Whoops, I don't know how I missed it Scott, but the evening will begin at 6 pm at all evenings. This was April's suggestion because of the extra time it takes with a group of 20 or more to order from the menu and to pay individually.

Put our vote down for Sunday. We've never been to a gathering and look forward to meeting all of you. Our Anchorage Customers are hailing it as the second coming, and as it turns out ( learned the hard way) do not appreciate any reference to "Papa John Town" or any other nick names referring to the Pizza King. Hope to see all of you soon. Bill and Susi Smith, Shady Lane Cafe.

Actually the best name I've heard is Papa John's "Neverland". Sounds to me like your Anchorage customers need to get the stick out of their collective ass and borrow a sense of humor from someone.

Is it mandatory for men to wear eyeliner in neverland? Not opposed really, just want to be properly attired.

No eyeliner...but I have been told that those Anchorageites (?) looking to make a fashion statement this season are wearing a silver glove with pepperoni colored sequins.

Its not like they are field hands suffering at the hands of the man in the Big House. I agree, lighten up a bit. Here in St. Mathews we have the "Old Sears" Building to deal with, and me, well my great granddad owned quite a bit of potato land out this way that he sold during the depression or otherwise they'd be calling it Smithfield and I would be wearing all the eyeliner I wanted.
