Great Burger Follow-up

by Robin F. » Mon Jul 12, 2010 10:24 am

Wow - it's hard to believe but in 2007 I posted asking for burger tips. http://forums.louisvillehotbytes.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1353

I was trying to find a burger comparable to the Jack's Lounge burger for when I want a change of scenery. In the past three years I've searched and searched: L&N, Jack Fry's, Limestone, Uptown Cafe, Westport General Store, Cheesecake Factory (yes), Bourbon's Bistro, Irish Rover, a dive bar in Lyndon that now has a new name, 60 West, Home Run, and I'm sure others I can't remember. They all had pluses and minuses (great bacon on the L&N burger!) - but the clear winner, and serious challenger to the Jack's burger is . . .

Mojito! Great flavor, beautifully cook, soft but crunchy bun, delicious grilled onions. It's a winner! :D

Great research, Robin!

The only problem I can see here is that when I go to Mojito, I couldn't see ordering a hamburger, no matter how good it is. :?

I've had the burger at Mojito's on more than one occasion at it is fantastic. It is so different from a traditional hambuger it needs a different name.

Hamburguesa Mojito’s- Black Angus beef, Spanish ground chorizo with lettuce, tomatoes confit and grilled onions. Topped with crispy fries, Serrano ham and swiss cheese. Served with housemade potato chips.
